PHOTOSHOP BRIEF

for our cad design sessions, we were asked to produce a scene which used all the skills we have learnt in photoshop over the past term.

being an epsom girl, i wanted to use the epsom derby as my starting point. i then chose typical ladies day outfits and put horses heads onto the bodies. i'm really not sure if i like my final product, but it took so much work and many an hour to produce. but i guess we've all got to learn from our mistakes...

just a quickie cos i was SO excited about this (even though i am lying in bed with flu, on christmas day)...

i have been PINING over this aqua dress for the past three months when stumbling across it on asos.com, but pushed it to the back of my mind as it being £110 i knew neither myself nor my parents would be able to afford to buy it for me. so... come christmas day, i'm merryily opening my presents when i choose to open my god parent's bag....

a new watch (again)

this is my third new watch in the past like 3 months? whoops. If you remember the four colourful Casio watches from asos that i wanted?? i recieved the orange one for my 21st birthday, last month. it hasn't left my wrist! so, with my new found obsession with casios... i bought another one... this time a neon pink one, for a very small £7.00 @ ebay. i'm so chuffed.

what else has been happening?? i drove home from uni yesterday, somehow managed to do the 5 hour journey in 4... i think i must drive a bit too fast. i still need to update with all my beautiful 21st bday pressies. i got some amazing things!

my beautiful boyfriend bought me this lovely blouse from topshop. it looks great with leggings or black skinnys, i also team it up with my brown brogues and gold accessorize watch.

i start back at monsoon today as a christmas temp. so excited to see all my old friends again :) no 75% accessorize discount this time though :'(.

i'm also thinking about starting a university portfolio blog... i really enjoyed the blog we used instead of a sketchbook.

i'll try and post again tomorrow with some more wardrobe updates!

TREND BRIEF

i thought you guys might be interested in what i've been doing at uni at the moment...

i was given the word "solid" and was told to come up with a trend board which would represent that word in a fashion environment. we were to suggest examples of our expression of the word which a fashion designer could then interpret into a design for a collection.

it has been very, very cold and icy in preston at the moment so i took my slr out and snapped the morning frost. i then thought i could use this frost and manipulate it into a ice queen; lion, the witch and the wardrobe style.

next project i think we're doing perfume packaging.... no idea how that even comes into fashion promotion?? but it sounds like a challenge!

hello everyone, sorry i'm such a failure! i've been really concentrating on my university work recently.

STYLING PROJECT

it was a brief set by the british heart foundation to find a new campaign for them. you can find more details on their website. i chose to use my base my project on the famous song by the beach boys, "god only knows". my goooorrrrgeous boyfriend jake modelled for me :) and my lovely flatmate, emma.

but anyway, we had to use a blog instead of a sketch book so after continuous blogging for two weeks i can safely say, i really bloody miss it! so guess who's back!!! ive found lots of beautiful and exciting things to blog about so keep yo' eyes peeled! and of course, xmas is on the way!! even more exciting things to come!!

im off to london next week, with uni. we've just started a trend project so we've got to snap loads of inspiring pictures for our montage boards. i'll post them if they're good too haha.

anyway, hope you're all lovely and will forgive me for being poo!

a goodbye to say

rest in peace poppy crick ♥

today was a very sad day. my beautiful sixteen year old black labrador, poppy died this morning in her sleep. she has been suffering with skin cancer for the past two years and decided today she couldn't cope any longer.

she was such a beautiful dog and was like another sister to me. we bought her when i was five, so effectively, we have grown up together. i will always remember the first day she arrived home. my brother, sister and i were told to wait in the lounge whilst mum fetched her from the dining room. within two seconds, we had a tiny labrador puppy, pink belly and all, bounding towards us. she was so energetic and hyper, she pushed me over from my crouching position and began licking my face. i remember being in complete stitches of laughter.

poppy was the most beautiful gift of life and i will always, always remember her. it is such a horrible day for my family and i, and also our friends and family who loved her so much too.

she really did bring joy and fun to everyone with all her little quirks.

i will miss you pops, you're in my heart always.

100th post!!!

so after 5 months of blogging and obsessive shopping...

i have now reached my 100th post!!!

lots of new purchases!

my obsession with shopping continues and whilst i wave goodbye to my (lack of) student loan, i post you all my beauties! my favourites are definitely my two charity shop bags, i'm soo happy i bought the black one. i was umming and ahhing but now, i literally couldnt even imagine my life without it!! and the tapestry one.... ♥ it goes so well with my tapestry shoes that i bought a few months ago from office. its like a match made in heaven! my brown tapered trousers were also an amazing buy. they're so comfy and are so warm, so they were definitely a practical winter buy!

the two velvet bodycon skirts were from primark and priced at a ridiculous £5.00 each. they are pretty much exactly the same as the ones topshop were selling last year (of which i wanted them sooo bad). they were priced at a horrendous £28.00, so i think i am the winner here!

if you remember a few months back i was obsessing over the monsoon kids coat with the fur collar?? well hey presto! it literally came back into stock the day i was leaving monsoon, so managed to swipe that up at the crazy amount of £32.50! i do miss my discount card! and all my monsoon girls :( and finally, my mahoosive fur coat, bought from a bournemouth charity shop for 15 whole english pounds. quite possibly my favouritest thing ever. though i do need longer hair cos it makes my head look really small, but i still love it anyway! ♥

the velvet jumper and my blouse were from a tiny boutique called pop boutique, in affleck's palace in manchester. i love them both and they look fab with my vintage high waisted levi's shorts.
